AN OPEN DOOR

Pastor Jerry Kendrick ~ Lead Pastor

God says in Revelation 3:8, “See I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut.”

Our desire is to be a praying, powerful place where Jesus is preached and spiritual growth occurs.

God is doing something new!   God’s Word in Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

What does an Open Door” mean? God is opening doors of opportunity for TEAM MINISTRIES. Throughout the Bible we see team ministries in operation. If you need an idea of team-work look at Nehemiah, Jesus and the Apostles, Paul and his helpers appointed by God.

Moses couldn’t do everything himself, so God told him to appoint elders. The pastor can’t do everything himself. God has set up a five-fold ministry in His Church for “the perfecting of the saints.” (Recommended reading:(1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:7-16). If we are to believe in faith for others we have to know the Word of God.

We are part of the Book of Acts Church! We have to be open to new vision. With an “Open Door” and a “Team” ministry God can heal and restore! God wants a healthy church – a family instead of a crowd. A family union is being formed that will have each other’s backs.

There has to be a “team” approach. The growth of a church has to function with people who want to get out of bed. We have to have “a mind to work” and “the joy of the Lord will be our strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). If God doesn’t do it – it won’t get done! But, if God hasn’t called you it will be too much for you.

With an “open door” God will bring in new people.  The Lord will bring in new people where Jesus Christ is proclaimed! With growth an aliveness comes in.
