You have a story – it’s real, it’s true. It about God in action. It’s the story or seasons of your life, where there are summers, springs, winters and beautiful falls.
The Word of God is full of Jesus’ principles… “Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12: 2). The Apostle Paul declares, “I know in whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day” (2 Timothy 1:12).
Acts 1:8 says, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me…” We must have the power of spiritual alignment! To do anything for God you will have to be in alignment with Him.
For example: What decides the energy of a car? It only goes when I tell it to go – when I put my foot on the gas.
In Matthew 6:33 Jesus tells us to “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things (that we seek) will be added unto you.”
My story started at age 38, and that is when I came to appreciate the times and seasons of my life. I was “born again” and baptized in the Holy Spirit. Before that I served the company I worked for. We were very involved in the Anglican church at the time. The Lord audibly spoke to me, “I want you to go to Rock Church and that will be your launching place.” As my family and I sat there the Holy Spirit encompassed us! The Pastor had a direct word for me from the Lord, “God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind, so do not be ashamed of the Gospel " (2 Timothy 1:7).
Jesus is real – in my gut! Our stories must be interwoven with Jesus – existing upon the Word of God and the love of God.
We quote Old Testament stories. They are actions of God. (I.e. God was going to write the story of Nehemiah.)
We have unseen enemies and we have seen what they can do to us. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief comes to rob, steal and destroy but I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly!” Jesus bought you! He is commander of the troops. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn” (Isaiah 54:17).
God is already there – where He wants us to go. You will receive "POWER" to equip you for spiritual alignment. When God sends the Holy Spirit to you and asks “What’s your problem?” You need to be honest. Remember, God will not give you something He knows is not good for you.
The following story is a lesson to us to not open our mouths unless the Holy Spirit tells you what to say:
David du Plessis story: David du Plessis, a Pentecostal minister is considered to be one of the main founders of the charismatic movement in the1950s & 60s, in which the Pentecostal experience of baptism with the Holy Spirit spread to non-Pentecostal churches worldwide.
He said to God, “Is there something You want me to do? I will do it!" God asked him to go to the Pope and tell him that “Jesus is the baptizer of the Holy Spirit.” David was committed to obey God. All the money came in for him to make the trip.
He was given great respect at the Vatican. In response the Pope called for “A New Pentecost.” And so, the Bishop called for world-wide gatherings of the Church to amplify the Holy Spirit presence. That movement became known as the Charismatic revival, touching the Catholic Church and hundreds of Protestant churches.
The Word of God says that Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11; John 16:7-14). Jesus said, “It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.”
In the natural when we plant “seeds” we expect a harvest – to supply food for our families. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS WITHIN YOU TO EMPOWER YOU! The power of spiritual alignment produces fruitful ministry. Spiritual alignment means submission. Without it we do not produce fruit.
It means that you live in all the significant teachings of Jesus. You live “on purpose!”
